It is designed to foster <strong>21st-century skills<\/strong>, specifically targeting the development of critical thinking, digital literacy, and the ability to construct meaning through collaborative dialogue. By focusing on perspective-taking, the resources help students move beyond an initial emotional reaction to a rational understanding and action-oriented empathy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-theme-palette-6-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-2 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&nbsp;What can teachers find inside?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:40% auto\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"618\" height=\"885\" src=\"https:\/\/virtualreality4empathy.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Screenshot-2026-05-11-190746.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4627 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/virtualreality4empathy.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Screenshot-2026-05-11-190746.png 618w, https:\/\/virtualreality4empathy.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Screenshot-2026-05-11-190746-209x300.png 209w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 618px) 100vw, 618px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The handbook contains <strong>8 VR-integrated lesson plans<\/strong> covering essential themes such as Multiculturalism in Europe, migration, climate change, and digital literacy, among others<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lessons include a diverse range of interactive tasks, from <strong>immersive VR experiences<\/strong> (4\u20136 minute videos) and individual reflection to group <strong>problem-solving<\/strong>, creative writing, and the production of &#8220;zines&#8221; or student-led exhibitions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The plans are <span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\">d<\/span>esigned for&nbsp;<strong>maximum flexibility<\/strong>, allowing teachers to adapt sessions to either <strong>45- or 90-minute formats<\/strong>. The methodology incorporates structured exploration, &#8220;World Caf\u00e9&#8221; rotating discussions, and step-by-step instructions that require no advanced technical skills from the teacher.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>While centred on the use of <strong>3DoF VR goggles<\/strong>, the handbook also integrates popular digital tools such as <strong>Mentimeter, Padlet, Canva, Mural, and Miro<\/strong> to engage students in dynamic polls and collaborative teamwork<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The handbook is available in <a href=\"https:\/\/virtualreality4empathy.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/VR4E-Handbook_Lessons-EN-2.pdf\">English<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/virtualreality4empathy.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/VR4E-Handbook_Lessons-PT-1.pdf\">Portuguese<\/a>, Hellenic, and <a href=\"https:\/\/virtualreality4empathy.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/VR4E-Handbook_lessons-SI.pdf\">Slovenian<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All lessons were structured to support teachers in using the <strong>immersive videos<\/strong> developed in the scope of the project to <strong>promote students&#8217; empathy<\/strong> in classes, covering <strong>three main topic<\/strong>s:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>European Citizenship and Diversity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>European Historical Facts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>European Social Common Values, European Citizenship, and Diversity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These VR-based videos were developed using a co-design process, involving teachers from the three countries, as you can see in <a href=\"https:\/\/virtualreality4empathy.eu\/sl\/2026\/04\/30\/following-partners-path-designing-vr-based-videos\/\">this news<\/a>.
