The Slovenian Expert Meeting of ICT School Coordinators and Principals kicked off an exciting journey into the future of education, with groundbreaking discussions on the role of VR, AI, and blockchain in modern classrooms.

The first event to launch the VR4Empathy project in Slovenia, occurred during the Slovenian Expert Meeting of ICT School Coordinators and Principals on November 6–7, 2024, in Laško. This two-day conference gathered schools’ digital coordinators, teachers, and principals to discuss advancements in modern learning methodologies, including the integration of VR and AI in education and the potential of blockchain technology for educational purposes.

The VR4Empathy project was presented on the second day by Dr. Igor Pesek, project manager and head of the Digital Education Service at the Ministry of Education, Slovenia. Over 120 participants gained insight into the project’s objectives and key deliverables, engaging in discussions about opportunities for schools to participate in ongoing initiatives.

This presentation ignited vibrant discussions on the project’s potential, encouraging schools to explore how they can actively contribute to shaping the future of education through innovative technologies like VR.
